Thank you everyone for being extremely patient during our reopening process. We understand everyone is tremendously excited to get back to their workout routines and deeply apologize for any frustrations our process may have caused you. Rather than be the first to open, we have taken the time to ensure that our Three (3) Phase Re-opening Plan supports all guidance provided by local and provincial authorities as well as meets Worksafe BC requirements. We must stress that the health and safety of our members and staff remains, and always will be our top priority. That said, we have developed the following detailed plan for your information. We will be remaining in constant communication with you in the coming days ahead, keeping you informed with club updates and informational videos so you know what to expect when visiting our clubs. When is Gold’s Gym Reopening?

Gold’s Gym British Columbia will re-open club operations in three different phases (3 Phase
Reopening Plan) in recovery of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The plan is our conservative approach to
reopening our four (4) clubs in the Lower Mainland. We are taking every precaution necessary based on
Public Health Authority and Work Safe BC requirements and recommendations to ensure a safe and
healthy club experience for our members and staff.

Gold’s Gym Port Coquitlam – Friday, June 5th, 2020
Gold’s Gym Langley – Monday, June 8th, 2020
Gold’s Gym University Marketplace – To Be Determined*

(*NOTE: If you are a Gold’s Gym British Columbia member and your current home club is University
Marketplace, we will not be activating your memberships at this time. Your membership dues will not
activate in June as we are currently in the process of determining the reopen date for our University
Marketplace facility. If you are a Gold’s Gym University Marketplace member and wish to begin working
out in June, we have made our West Broadway facility available to you in the interim. To be able to
reserve workout sessions at our West Broadway location, you will be required to purchase a one (1)
month membership online for $50 + GST. Once your purchase is complete, you will be able to select the
West Broadway location from the club location drop down menu and reserve available workout session
times.)

What are the three (3) phases of your Restart Plan?

For further information on our Three (3) Phase Restart Plan, please navigate our Gold’s Gym BC
website and select the “Reopening Protocols” button. From there select the “Reopening Plan” button
and the additional reopening information will populate. Our full Three Phase Restart Plan is explained in
that document.

What are the hours of operation for each club? When your 24 hour clubs reopen will they be offering 24 hours access?

We will be reopening with REDUCED hours during Phase 1 of our reopening Plan and we WILL NOT
be able to offer 24 hours access at this time. 24 hours access is planned to occur during Phase 3 of our 3
Phase Restart Plan and we anticipate that 24 hours access will be introduced a minimum of 60 days after
Phase 1 begins.

How will check-ins be managed to control the number of members attending the facility?

We have created a set number of available workout sessions per day on a set schedule that allows
time for thorough cleanings of our facility and equipment. After two (2) consecutive workout sessions,
we will close the club for 30 minutes to allow the staff to perform a deep clean before we reopen for the
next two (2) workout sessions. The rotation of two (2) workouts followed by 30 minutes of deep
cleaning will continue consistently throughout the day for your safety and comfort

What is the workout schedule for each club and how long are the workout sessions?

All workout sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes long and are limited in Phase 1 to one (1) workout
session per member per day to allow all members the opportunity to book a workout session. In Phase
2, hours of operation will be extended, extra sessions will be added to each time slot and additional
workout session times will become available to accommodate higher demand. Phase 2 hours of
operation will increase which will permit one (1) additional workout session time slot in the morning to
be added (5am) as well as one (1) additional time slot in the evening.

I am NOT currently a Gold’s Gym British Columbia Member. Are you accepting drop-ins, guest passes or trial membership passes at this time?

In Phase 1 of our Restart Plan, we are limiting access to MEMBERS ONLY. Guest passes will not be
issued, out-of-town guests will not be permitted, drop-ins for local residents (must provide ID showing
local address) will be available ONLY if space permits and any trial offerings normally offered WILL NOT
be activated at this time (includes Groupon). If you are interested in membership, please email our
Sales Director, Ryan at ryans@goldsgymbc.ca and it would be his pleasure to assist you further.

I am a Gold’s Gym British Columbia Member. Do I have to make a reservation for a workout session and if so, how do I make a reservation?

Yes, During Phase 1 of our reopening, we will be limiting members to one workout session (75
minutes), per day per member. This is due to maximum occupancy limitations and proper physical
distancing guidelines related to limiting the potential spread of Covid-19. Booking a reservation for a
session can be done at www.myiclubonline.com. Reservations can be booked for up to three days in
advance and will be booked on a first-come, first serve basis. For a more detailed, step by step
instruction, as well as a video tutorial on reserving a workout session, please visit our website,
www.goldsgymbc.ca and select the “Reopening Protocols” button. Then choose the “Booking
Instructions” button.

I do not know my membership number and require it to create my account for www.myiclubonline.com so I can reserve workout sessions. How do I retrieve it?

Create your account on MyiCLUBOnline.com (“MICO”) using your Agreement Number
and postal code. Select “Retrieve my Agreement Number” if you do not have a record of it. The
message will prompt you to input your email address. To receive your Membership Agreement Number,
you MUST use the same email address that you registered with us on your membership profile. If you
need to update your email address with us, please send your updated email address
to membersupport@goldsgymbc.ca. In your email, please include your full name, phone number and
email address you wish to receive notifications.

When can I begin making reservations for workout sessions?

We understand you may have questions or issues with reserving your first workout sessions so we
have opened our reservation systems one day earlier than the normal three (3) days in advance so we

can address any member concerns at this time. We will revert back to three-day advanced bookings
after the first few days of reservations. The full calendar will be viewable when you log onto the website
however the system will only allow you to reserve three days in advance from the current time and
date. At midnight each day, the sessions for the following day become available for reservation (for
example, when Monday, June 1st ends at midnight, workout session times for Thursday, June 4th will be
available to select at 12:01am Tuesday, June 2nd).

1) Gold’s Gym West Broadway: Online reservations are available and goes live at 12:01am, Wednesday,
May 27th, 2020 for workout sessions on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
2) Gold’s Gym Port Coquitlam: Online reservations are available and goes live at 12:01am, Monday,
June 1st, 2020 for workout sessions on June 5th.
3) Gold’s Gym Langley: Online reservations are available and goes live at 12:01am, Thursday, June 4th,
2020 for workout sessions on June 8th.

What can I expect when I return to the gym for the first time since the closure and what changes have you made to each club to maximize safety for staff and members?

As the Province begins to relax lockdown measures and non-essential businesses start to reopen,
our top priority is to ensure the health and safety of our staff and members. Accordingly, we have
adjusted our check-in process and Club Policies and Procedures, including enhancing our cleaning
protocols due to the Covid-19 situation, to mitigate potential spread of the virus. Below are the
preventative steps and rules we have implemented for the Phase 1 of our Restart Plan to facilitate a
safer work and workout out environment for our staff and members.

Limiting Capacity in our Clubs to allow proper minimum physical distancing measures as mandated by
the Public Health Authority:

– Staff and Member Covid-19 declarations and safety checks which include symptom and temperature
checks and health declarations completed once daily for members and twice daily for every staff
member. Health checks will be conducted and must be verified as acceptable prior to anyone entering
the facility, NO EXCEPTIONS.

– Improved touchless processes when attending the facility including member and guest check-ins,
payment transactions, membership enrollment and handling of member account issues.
– Enhanced and frequent cleaning protocols that both staff and members will be required to follow and
obey for the safety of everyone attending the Club.
– Protective Personal Protection Equipment (PPPE) will be worn by all staff (mask and gloves) and are
always highly recommended for members while in the Club except whilst engaged in vigorous exercise.

If I am not ready to return to the Club currently, am I able to place my membership on hold?

We will reactivate billing of your membership dues on the date your home club reopens. We realize
that the COVID-19 pandemic has created unforeseen circumstances for many people and we
understand that despite our best efforts to create a safe fitness environment for our Members, there
may be some who are not prepared to return to our fitness centres yet, due to the ongoing Covid-19
situation. To address this concern, we have made available a complimentary hold for Members who
wish to keep their memberships inactive at this time until up to August 31, 2020. Continuing to keep
your membership on hold will defer your membership dues and entry into our clubs will be restricted
until you re-activate your membership. You may re-activate your membership at any time during the
hold period. Please email us at membersupport@goldsgymbc.ca to inform us if you want to continue to
leave your membership on hold. Please allow between 3 to 5 days for confirmation of your membership
hold.

Will members be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while working out?

For your protection and theirs, our staff will be required to wear face coverings and gloves at all
times. Members will not be required to wear gloves or face coverings. We encourage use of hand
sanitizers in between sets and frequent hand washing throughout your workout. Face coverings are also
highly recommended while in the facility BUT NOT while engaged in vigorous exercise or activity (not
mandatory). Physical distancing of a minimum 6 feet apart will be strictly enforced as mandated by
Public Health Authorities.

What equipment, club services and amenities will be available when I return during Phase 1?

CARDIO & STRENGTH MACHINES | WOMEN’S ONLY | LIMITED LOCKER ROOMS | PT 1 on 1:

The above equipment and services will open during Phase 1 with physical distancing and capacity
guidelines in place.
– Cardio and Strength machines that are in operation will be staggered and/or measured at least 6′
apart
· Locker Rooms will be open but limited use (only toilets, sinks, change room. No lockers nor showers
will be available)
· These amenities will remain closed during Phase 1 and re-evaluated for opening in Phase 2 or 3
– Core Culture Juice bar: Proposed opening near the end of phase 1/ beginning of Phase 2)
– Kid’s Club: Not Currently available. Proposed opening in Phase 3 (if safe to do so)
– GGX & Studio Classes: Not currently available. Proposed Opening in Phase 2
– Saunas/Steam Rooms/ Pool (where applicable): Not Currently available. Proposed Opening in
Phase 3
– Towel Service – Not currently available. Available in Phase 2 or 3

I am a One-on-One Personal Training Client and want to begin working out with my Gold’s Gym BC personal trainer. How do I make an appointment?

You can contact your Gold’s Gym BC Personal Trainer directly or you can email Jean, Director of
Fitness at jean@goldsgymbc.ca. Please provide your trainers name, when you want to restart and what
days and times work best for you. You will be emailed the required Re-Opening Personal Training forms
which must be signed and returned to jean@goldsgymbc.ca prior to booking any PT sessions.

You and your trainer will arrange your appointment times in advance to reserve your spot and your
trainer will schedule your session for the appropriate time slot. You will not be required to make a
reservation on myiclubonline.com as your trainer will book you in a separate PT specific time slot. If you
do not have any personal training sessions remaining, you will need to purchase a new PT Package or
reactivate your personal training billing prior to the first Personal Training session with your trainer

If I am currently still uncomfortable with returning to the Club to resume my personal training, am I able to continue the HOLD for my Personal training payments?

As a courtesy to our members, personal training payments will remain suspended for the month of
June 2020 but will resume billing on July 1st, 2020. If you are placing your membership on hold then you
will need to send an email to jean@goldsgymbc.ca to request a hold for your Personal Training session
payments as well. Please allow 3 – 5 business days to receive confirmation for your personal training
billing hold request. Please note: All complimentary holds will expire on August 31st, 2020 and billing will
resume on September 1st.

If I pre-paid my personal training session in full, will my PT sessions expiry dates be extended?

Yes, the expiry for all Personal Training sessions will be extended for the equal duration of time the
hold was active. For example, if your Personal Training package expiry date was originally October 1st,
and the full duration of your hold was two (2) months and 5 days, the new expiry date for your personal
training sessions would be extended two months and five days so your new expiry date would be
December 6th, 2020.
