Group Classes FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. What are the class safety guidelines?

Our Group Fitness Safety Protocols require that all Members and Instructors:

  • Are vaccinated in compliance to Public Health Order guidelines and can provide proof of vaccination
  • Are healthy prior to entering the facility
  • Check-in using their key fob and have a confirmed reservation for the class
  • Take a personal disinfectant spray bottle at check-in to use before and after class and return to the front desk upon exiting the facility

2. How do I check into class?

All group fitness participants must check-in as usual at the front desk. A late arrival may forfeit your spot in class if there are people on standby the day of the class. The instructor will conduct “roll call” a few minutes before the class start time. To avoid a “No-Show” fee of $10+gst – please cancel your class booking at least 1 hour before class time. All group fitness participants are encouraged to arrive early enough to complete the check-in process and set up their equipment prior to the class start time.

3: How many people will be able to attend classes?

Each club has different class capacities based on the size of the room and the format of the class to provide optimal safety

4. Do I need to wear a mask in class?

A mask must be worn upon entering the facility. It must continue to be worn unless exercising. It is an option to remove the mask during exercise.

5. How many classes can I do in one day?

Due to a reduced number of classes and class capacity on the initial schedule – it is recommended that that the members attend one (1) class per day as a courtesy to other members to have an opportunity to attend a class. We will be enforcing this if we see that there is an issue with members booking multiple classes consistently and/or if multiple booking are made and then not attended.

6. Can I workout before or after my class in the main workout area?

If you would like to do a regular workout BEFORE your class, MUST check-in under within the club capacity allowance. You must check out and then check back in for the class. This will allow for the club to maintain the correct club capacity for regular workouts. If you would like to do a regular workout AFTER your class, you MUST exit the club and check-in within the club capacity allowance.

CLASS RULES AND GUIDELINES

Class MAY begin 5 minutes past the booking time (e.g., 9:30am class begins at 9:35am) to allow for proper set up for all participants. Once class begins there will be no entry. Late comers will be asked to leave the facility. This is to maintain the safety of the participants in the class A limited number of lockers will be made available, please do not bring large bags or personal belongings. No bags will be allowed on the floor Safety floor markers have been placed at specific locations in the studio, to ensure that the equipment, and each GGX participant, is spaced according to proper social distancing guidelines. Please remain on the marked spot and do not stand or sit on an unmarked spot. Masks must be worn at all times except when actively exercising in the class.

After Class

  1. Clean and disinfect your equipment thoroughly
  2. Wearing your mask as you walk through the club
  3. Do not loiter in other areas of the club floor as this will affect workout club capacity
